Lamps – Google x Berg
In 2011 I represented Google Creative Lab in a series of design projects done in collaboration with Berg London. These were speculative projects aimed at exploring what it might be like to have computation living in the physical world with us, rather than stuck in a screen. The project documented below, (Lamps) treated projection and computer vision as if they were one material – a seamless ability to understand the physical world and respond to it through light.
Below are a series of light based sketches done with the team at Berg. These led to the creation of the principles of smart light and the enchanted “dumb” objects proposed above.
